DaVinci Select Shake Ridge & Hip Cap

Suitable for DaVinci Select Shake, this accessory is a dry-fix ridge and hip cap for all roofs. Available in our three, stocked Select Shake colours. This ridge and hip accessory is manufactured in the same material as the DaVinci Select Shake tiles to beautifully match your roof. Universal fitment for any angle, DaVinci Select Shake Ridge and Hip Caps have a degree of flexibility when fixing and have the same properties as our roofing shake:

  • Lightweight – as low as 14kg per square metre.
  • Easy to install.
  • Easily cut with a fine-toothed saw or sharp utility blade.
  • Ridges and hips are mechanically fixed.
  • Choice of 3 colours to match the Select Shake tiles.
  • 40-year warranty.
  • Fully tested to BBA standards, including fire rating, wind, driven snow & rain, and water absorption.
  • DaVinci Select Shake Ridge and Hip Caps are not made from recycled plastics but are manufactured from recyclable virgin polyethylene.

DaVinci Select Shake Ridge & Hip Cap

Suitable for:

To be used in conjunction with other DaVinci Select Shake products.

Dimensions:  Caps are measured flat, Overall Length 18.3″ (465mm), Overall Width 11.9″ (302mm) and Thickness is 1″ (25mm) thick at the front edge and 1/8″ (3mm) thick at the back edge (wedge shaped). Universal fitment so height depends on roof pitch, can be laid from almost 0° to 45°.  3.3 units cover one linear metre in ridge/hip length. Cap exposure (front of cap to the next overlaying cap) should be set at a minimum of 12″ (305mm). Unit should be heated with a hot-air gun along the ridge before attempting to bend into shape, especially in cold weather.

Please note, depending on lighting conditions, our Ridge & Hip Caps will reflect varying levels of colour intensity. Actual colours may vary from those shown on the screen, it is always best to compare actual samples and free samples are available on request.
