TapcoSlate Classic Ridge & Hip Cap

Suitable for TapcoSlate Classic, this accessory is a dry-fix ridge and hip cap for all roofs. Available in our seven, stocked, Traditional TapcoSlate colours and Coachman Mix, plus our seven, special order Alternative colours & Mixes. This ridge and hip accessory is manufactured in the same material as our TapcoSlate Classic product to beautifully match your roof slate. Universal fitment for any angle, TapcoSlate Classic ridge and hip caps have a degree of flexibility when fixing and have the same properties as our roofing slate:

  • Lightweight – as low as 12kg per square metre.
  • Easy to install with pre-marked nailing guides and spacers.
  • Easily cut with a fine-toothed saw or sharp utility blade.
  • Ridges and hips are mechanically fixed.
  • Choice of colours (7 standard colours & Coachman Mix stocked for immediate availability.).
  • 40-year warranty.
  • Fully tested to BBA, UKTA and ETA standards, and has UKCA and CE marking, including fire rating, wind, driven snow & rain, and water absorption.
  • TapcoSlate Classic ridge and hip caps are not made from recycled plastics but are manufactured from recyclable virgin polypropylene and limestone.

TapcoSlate Classic Ridge & Hip Cap

Suitable for:

To be used in conjunction with our other TapcoSlate Classic products.

Dimensions:  Overall Length 445mm, Length of Facing Pattern 210mm, Length of Overlap 235mm, Side Length 160mm. Universal fitment so height depends on roof pitch, can be laid from almost 0° to 90°.  6 units cover one linear metre in ridge/hip length. Unit should be heated with a hot-air gun along the apex before attempting to bend into shape.

PLEASE NOTE: Depending on lighting conditions, our roof tiles will reflect varying levels of colour intensity. Actual colours may vary from those shown on the screen, it is always best to compare actual samples and free samples are available on request.
